ShabAhang is a non-political and non-religious series of musical events dedicated to focusing on the similarities, rather than the differences, between cultures. ShabAhang in Persian means "evening music". These musical evenings focus on spiritual, folk and traditional music and its connections with other music from around the world. These gatherings will help Persian-Americans reconnect to their roots and will also serve as a wonderful point of introduction for those who are interested in the Persian culture.

We welcome everyone to ShabAhang because it is designed to promote mutual understanding and appreciation through sharing the cultural treasures of ancient Persia. We also hope to promote the discovery of the rich cultural heritage given to us through music. Our desire is to help our audiences experience the healing power of music by taking them on a journey where the beauty of music and poetry is all that is important.

ShabAhang with Amir Vahab will be announced together with the details of each show on the events section of our website. If you wish to be added to our mailing list, please email: amir@tanbour.org
